“I love remote coaching as it allows for me to have a program that’s made specifically for me/my goals rather than having just an app or a canned workout program. I also spend so much time just planning meals and getting to the gym, so this the work out of having to write my own workouts or journaling. It’s also a bonus for accountability and having a resource to message when you have questions, something doesn’t feel right, or you’re ready to switch up your training goals.”

“When the pandemic began, all gyms in California closed, so my options for strength training became much more limited. Working with Julia was valuable to me when I was first learning to exercise and I wanted to continue with her while I navigated a new world of primarily bodyweight exercises using just materials in my own home. I’ve continued to work with her because exercise has been a mental health lifeline for me during the uncertainty of the pandemic and the California wildfire seasons. I’m pretty self-motivated but when I know I’ll be meeting with Julia it gives me the additional reason I need to do the workout I know will help me feel better.”

  • No! Programs are custom and written for whatever you have access to. I write programs for clients with full luxury gym access, for clients with just a couple of sets of weights at home - and everything in between.

Programs can vary - perhaps you usually have access to a gym, but need to opt for minimal equipment during a work trip. We can do that too!

The most important thing is that you stay consistent, so we’ll program workouts that allow you to do just that.

  • No, each custom workout is unique. That said, you will see important movements repeated week to week. Repeating movements over time is key if you want to see results, but enjoying your program is also key if you want to stay consistent. I strive to maintain a great balance between consistently programming key movements while also innovating and introducing new movements to keep things fresh and find things that work best for your unique needs.

  • Yes! I will work with you to establish sustainable nutrition habits to support your strength goals. This aspect of coaching will look really different depending on your goals and background.

I will work with you to establish other important habits that support your strength goals such as water intake, sleep coaching, movement outside of workouts, and more.

  • The newer you are to strength training, the more valuable check ins will be. If you arent 100% confident when it comes to form, I suggest opting for either in-person or video check ins. If you are confident when it comes to form but just need structure, remote programming only might be perfect for you.

  • Yes! This is a fun way to spend more time with your partner. Workouts will be slightly less specific with a range of weights and reps given so the program can fit both of your needs.

If you wish to share a workout program, but need individualized coaching when it comes to cardio, nutrition, and other fitness related goals we can work together to come up with a custom plan.
